Summary:
The Gift Officer reports directly to the President of the Beebe Medical Foundation. The Gift Officer is responsible for identifying, cultivating, qualifying, soliciting, and stewarding donors for Major Gifts, Planned Gifts, Annual Fund Leadership Circles, and Event Sponsorships. The Gift Officer works collaboratively with all members of the Foundation team, Board of Directors, and Board of Ambassadors to build and enhance relationships with all donors for the purpose of renewing and increasing financial support. In addition, the Gift Officer works closely with Beebe Healthcare leaders in assigned service lines to identify needs, process grateful patient referrals, solicit support from donors, and provide stewardship.
Responsibilities:
Maintain a personal portfolio of 150+ donors to ensure timely steps are taken for cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship to reach an annual financial fundraising goal. Monthly goals are set for number of moves, face-to-face visits, solicitations, identification of new prospects, and planned giving prospects. Develop relationships with Board members, Beebe Healthcare leadership, volunteers, and leadership donors to identify and solicit new prospects.
Round and conduct hospital visits to donors and grateful patient prospects who are identified by clinical staff. Assist donors in navigating the healthcare system as needed. Serve as the representative of the Foundation to assigned service lines and work collaboratively with service line leaders and teams to identify funding priorities and to coordinate fundraising events and appeals to support these needs. Serve as liaison to community groups and organizations conducting third-party fundraising events and activities for the assigned service lines in collaboration with the Foundation's Events Coordinator. Work closely with the Foundation's Grateful Patient Coordinator to review grateful patient gifts through our Celebrate Excellent Care program and assist with articles and publicity. Represent Beebe Healthcare and the Foundation as a member of community organizations and speak on behalf of Beebe Healthcare at community meetings, chamber events, etc. Proficient use of the database to maintain systems for identifying, researching, classifying, and evaluating prospects. Work collaboratively with the Foundations Annual Fund Coordinator and Database Manager to develop the prospect pipeline. Work collaboratively with Foundation's Financial Analyst and Donor Relations Coordinator to create, manage, and steward gift agreements. Responsible for developing a Planned Giving strategy, offering donors access to educational materials and opportunities for various planned and estate gifts. Work collaboratively with the Database Manager to ensure accurate records are kept for the Shaw Legacy Society and identifying ongoing planned gift prospects. Maintains a high degree of motivation and superior work ethic consistent with the philosophy of the Foundation and contributing to the team effort. Each team member has a responsibility to support the fundraising mission of the Foundation thru attendance of events, solicitation of individual gifts and corporate sponsorships, and ongoing stewardship of donors. Performs all other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Development and Foundation President.
