Be a collaborative liaison between the EMS/Fire community, the medical director, and Holy Cross Hospital Jordan Valley and Holy Cross Hospital Jordan Valley West. The EMS Coordinator will participate in appropriate committees and initiatives in the hospital and in EMS/Fire communities to ensure quality patient care across the continuum.
Support EMS education courses and continuing education programs.
Facilitate effective communication between EMS and the hospitals, including conflict management, feedback, and process improvement.
This position will split time between Holy Cross Hospital - Jordan Valley and Holy Cross Hospital - Jordan Valley West.
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
Three years of related experience in emergency medical services.
Working knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional methodologies.
Effective communication skills.
Knowledge and experience in computer instructional technology
High school diploma or GED, required
Current Utah Healthcare License and/or Paramedic certification, required
Basic Life Support Instructor Certification (AHA BLS CPR) within one year of hire.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor Certification (AHA ACLS) within one year of hire.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support Instructor Certification (AHA PALS) within one year of hire.
Physical Requirements: Sedentary work -(prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10lbs force occasionally)
