Our Same Day Program consists of an energetic and enthusiastic group of professionals who are engaged in sharing their knowledge of perioperative services! These are desirable roles for the nurse who wants a predictable schedule and who enjoys learning every day.
Our Same Day Program is a high-volume, 34-bed unit where patients are quickly and efficiently prepared for surgery or procedures. On any given day, we care for 50-70 patients. We also provide post-anesthesia recovery for patients who are discharged home on the same day as their procedure. The main unit serves patients aged 15 and older, while our separate pediatric perioperative program caters to those 14 and under. Our department also includes a regional block program, where moderate sedation-trained nurses administer a preoperative block—typically for joint replacement procedures—before patients head into the operating room. The program supports a variety of specialties, including orthopedics, gynecology, plastics, ENT, vascular, urology, radiology, cardiology, and thoracic surgery.
We are looking for experienced nurses who are team players and want to work in a busy 34-bed Same Day Surgery Program (SDP). Shifts are 10 hours between the hours of 6:00 am and 8:30 pm. Nurses must have current acute care hospital experience. Critical Care experience and IV skills are a plus.
