The Dalla Lana School of Public Health (DLSPH) at the University of Toronto invites applications for a full-time tenure stream position at the rank of Associate Professor in the area of Global Health. The expected start date is July 1, 2020, or shortly thereafter.

The successful applicant will have extensive knowledge of and experience in research in population and public health, health policy, health systems, and implementation research, with particular emphasis on the study of public health policy interventions, their health and health equity impacts. The successful applicant will also have established connections and a demonstrated ability to communicate with senior academics, policy makers, donors and other key decision-makers in the global health arena within and outside of Canada. The applicant will also have prior experience working with governance structures, managing teams of professional and administrative staff. The successful candidate must have the demonstrated ability, as evidenced through the application materials, to assist the Faculty in building an area of research strength in global health.

The candidate will be expected to sustain and lead their own innovative and independent research program at the highest international level and to maintain an outstanding, competitive, and externally funded program of original research with relevance to global health policy. Candidates must provide evidence of research excellence as demonstrated by a sustained record of high-impact publications in relevant journals, the submitted research statement, presentations at significant conferences, distinguished grants and awards, and other noteworthy activities that contribute to the visibility and prominence of the discipline, as well as strong endorsements from referees of high standing. Evidence of excellence in teaching will be provided through teaching accomplishments, the teaching dossier, a teaching statement, sample course syllabi, and the teaching evaluations submitted as part of the application, as well as strong letters of reference.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
