Job Summary: The Clinical Resource Nurse (CRN) for Ben Taub ICU assesses, plans, develops, implements and evaluates education activities, competency validation, clinical care, programs and initiatives for the assigned department/units. The CRN demonstrates expert clinical knowledge and skills and effective teaching/education skills and supports system level nursing clinical and education nursing initiatives. The CRN provides leadership within the department including: quality improvement activities; supports effective human resources management; and supports resource accountability. The CRN exemplifies professionalism and promotes a customer-friendly environment by utilizing ServiceFIRST behaviors in interactions with patients, families, and staff members.
