Old Dominion University (ODU), Norfolk State University (NSU) and Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) have entered into a historic collaboration to establish the first school of public health in Virginia. The joint School of Public Health will improve population health by preparing the next generation of public health scholars, practitioners and leaders. Through education, scholarship and community engagement, the school will illuminate public health challenges and translate research into practice and partnerships to advance health equity in Eastern Virginia and to serve public health needs and interests across the nation.
