Education and Experience Requirements: Graduation from an accredited RN program required. Current California RN license and in good standing with the Board of Registered Nurses required. Current CPR certification required, ACLS preferred.
Minimum one-year experience required. Experience in outpatient care and/or community health center preferred.
Salary/Tenure: $40.00 per hour non-exempt (or commensurate with experience), Permanent/Full-Time/Benefitted
Summary: Are you interested in a non-hospital work setting? We provide outpatient primary care in a rural health setting. Shingletown Medical Center is a Federally Qualified Health Center located in beautiful Shingletown, CA. Shingletown is located in the Sierras a short drive from Lassen Volcanic Park.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of nursing process and nursing principles, assessment techniques, scope of practice and standards of care..
Knowledge of regulatory requirements.
Basic computer and keyboarding skills.
Duties: Provides direct patient care within RN scope of practice, including medications, immunizations, intravenous therapy, dressing changes and performance of in-house lab and diagnostic tests. Utilizes the nursing process to perform chronic care management, patient education and other RN-only functions. Performs chronic care management for patients with complex conditions or multiple comorbidities. Performs independent telephone and in-person triage and Coumadin management. Participates in the Rx refill process. May make home visits.
