Provides consultation and education to staff, physicians and community leaders in respect to Infection Prevention & Control
Responsible for identifying, investigating, monitoring, the use of PPE, education and training on disease process and prevention of associated infections. The IP collaborates with the centers team and individuals to create infection prevention strategies, provide feedback, and sustain infection prevention strategies.
Manage employee health program which includes influenza program
Facilitate infection control training for all newly hired employees and conduct annual competency training for nurses administering tuberculosis testing
Notify the County and/or State Health Department of any reportable diseases, adhering to all internal county and state procedures.
Review immunization documentation/status for all new hires with the center to ensure compliance
Ensure the infection prevention and control procedures meet CMS, county and state, APIC and CDC regulations, standards or guidelines.
Organize Infection Prevention and Control Committee meetings and maintain all meeting minutes.

BSN in nursing; A minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a RN AND in an Infection Control capacity
Quality/IC leadership experience preferred
APIC Certification Required
