United Health Services in Upstate New York is seeking a full-time Athletic Trainer to join our outpatient Physical Therapy team in Vestal, New York. Candidates may be eligible for relocation assistance to move to the Greater Binghamton, NY area.

Athletic Trainer Position Overview
The Athletic Trainer will work in a clinical setting as part of the Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine teams in collaboration with staff and providers at the UHS Orthopedic Center. The successful candidate will also provide athletic training coverage for local colleges, area high schools, and other athletic events. The Athletic Trainer will play a vital role in providing professional and comprehensive healthcare within the physically active community.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in routine patient care as directed by the treating Physical Therapist and within the guidelines mandated by the New York Physical Therapy Practice Act
- Participate in community outreach programs that provide athletic training services, education, and pre-season screening
- Provide clinical athletic training services as deemed necessary with the highest level of patient care and quality
- Provide athletic training services to designated educational institutions and assist in alternative coverage as needed
- Complete and submit paperwork on time
- Attend and participate in all clinical in-service educational programs
- Maintain continuing education requirements as determined by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATA BOC) guidelines

Position Requirements
- Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in athletic training from an institution with curriculum approved by the National Athletic Training Association (NATA)
- Certification through the NATA Board of Certification
- Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice Athletic Training in NYS
- CPR certification within the first three months of employment
- Preferred: Experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer in a college or high school setting (ATC credential)
